Aiming at top place in search engines? Keep your rankings totally under your control!
Attention all who’s working to promote their sites in Google, Yahoo!, Bing or other search engines! If your site depends on search engine placements for traffic and sales, your Google rankings are tied directly to your bottom line. Any webmaster knows that search engines rankings can and will go through ups and downs, so tracking your site’s positions on a regular basis is of crucial importance.
Keep a close eye on your rankings to make sure you’re near the top at all times!
OK, Google, Yahoo! and Bing rankings must be checked, there’s no question about it. But the real question is,
How Many Hours A Week Do You Spend
Tracking Your Site’s Positions
In Major Search Engines?
If this is a manual process for you, it probably goes a lot like this. You open up a spreadsheet, create a new file, and insert several columns in it, such as "Keyword", "Last Week’s Google Ranking" and "This Week’s Google Ranking".
Then you go ahead and visit Google, input your keyword and then scroll down in the displayed results in search of your site. If your site is in Top 10 — lucky you, you don’t have to do a lot of scrolling. Otherwise you’ll have to visit the next Google results page, and the next one… until you finally find your site somewhere on page 47.
Multiply that by the number of keywords or keyword phrases you target… then multiply by the number of search engines you’re interested in, then… Oh well, you get the idea: If you track search engines rankings by hand,
You Are Wasting Hours Of Your Valuable Time!
And us website owners and SEOs sure know time is money!
Now think of yet another thing: how would you like spending as little as 2 minutes only once, and then see where you rank for your keywords daily?
If you’re anything like most webmasters and SEOs, you’d love that! So if checking Google rankings manually doesn’t sound like fun to you, here’s good news: Rank Tracker will do this boring job for you and save you countless hours you can spend on a lot more rewarding marketing and SEO activities! Thanks to the powerful task scheduler Rank Tracker will check your rankings on auto-pilot.

nice Tool but no chance to use it in Germany for German websites ?
November 4th, 2009 at 1:33 am
Beware. The makers of this app are totally incognito. Nowhere on their site have I been able to find a contact link, that shows me where they originate.
If anyone can show me, thanks.
PS: Once their “Live Plan” expires after 6 months, the software will stop working. It will tell you that you NEED to purchase a Live Plan, otherwise Quit. How nice huh?

at Oliver Nielsen:
Oliver, I thought we made all things clear in June when the promo for our tools ran here, didn’t we?
Over the years we’ve been partners with MacZOT we’ve delivered hundreds of licenses to happy MacZOT users, and they are receiving professional support (totally free of charge) from our team located in Belarus as well as very good discounts on maintenance plans.
Just in case, I am providing once again my answers to absolutely the same questions you asked in June:
———————————————————————-
>@Oliver Nielsen
>>the company has no address on their website (at least I couldn’t find it) so where >>in the world are they? Their names sound eastern european, but who am I paying >>for a perpetual Live Plan?
Oliver, you are getting news updates from us on a regular basis where you can always see our address in the signature and it does say that we are physically located in Belarus, East Europe – so you are right about the names.
We are sincerely sorry that you are unwilling to pay for high-quality software, service, support and updates to the *residents of an East European country*.
Well but unfortunately neither North America nor any other part of the English-speaking world has an SEO software developer with a name, quiality tools, support etc. The rare tools developed by US companies stop functioning step-by-step as long as search engines change their algos. So when you pay, say $167 for a license it becomes totally unusable in a couple of months.
To avoid this kind of problem, we provide the users with Live! Plan updates that guarantee uninterrupted work with the 413 supported search engines. The first 6 months are totally free, and then you may choose to pay a small maintenance cost. With SEO PowerSuite release these updates have become more affordable than before and our research shows that we offer *the cheapest maintenance plan in the industry*. Now think of another thing: we are the only developer providing same-dame updates when Google algos change – how do you like that? While for the SEO software industry it’s considered normal to keep the users waiting for up to a week. As long as you’re with Link-Assistant, you’ve got the fastest and cheapest updates. Unfortunately a company located outside East Europe would hardly be able to provide you with that.
Oliver, if you wish you can contact our support dept and ask them to offer the most affordable maintenance plan for you – and I guess you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Maintenance prices have really gone down!

Just in case, I’m also providing a link to the page with all the info about Rank Tracker’s Live! Plan (which is responsible for the same-day updates when Google’s algos change):
http://www.link-assistant.com/rank-tracker/live-plan.html
November 4th, 2009 at 4:17 pm
You can say whatever your want, and I respect your reply, but I still don’t find your company transparant enough, both regarding your “Live Plans” and identity.
Maybe that’s just me, but on the other hand, you could just put that address on your website, not hide the Live Plan info and pricing behind links at the deepest bottom of pages, not let your software expire and instead let it be able to at least boot, with an expired Live Plan, even though the results might be a bit unaccurate. I got pretty upset finding out I paid for software that wouldn’t even boot when the Live Plan expired.
Simply a case of valueing your integrity higher than your cash flow.
Whatever.

I would really love to get the full suite, but why would you offer only one part today, and not a promo for the full suite to those that want it now. Waiting to the end of the month, and over Thanksgiving (for us USA guys) just is rough.
Any promo you can give on the enterprise version of the power suite I am all ears. I am currently using Market Samurai, and looking for a little more then what it offers.

> Oliver Neilson – I totally agree and THANK YOU for pointing this out. I was going to buy the full suite as I thought I was getting what was advertised – SOFTWARE THAT WORKS.
I will NOT purchase froma company that after my looking through their site had NO IDEA the software would ‘expire’ in 6 months. In this case I am paying to HIRE the software for 6 months – I don’t actually own it. For the price = NO WAY!!
> Developer – You really should be clear in your web site that this is NOT a software sale but a software / service HIRE fee. I would be filing against you if I had bought it & found out 6 months later that it didn’t work! Shame on you.
I got so excited – I currently use RAGE SEO tools for Mac OSx & thought this would be a great opportunity – but refuse to pay companies that are not up front about continuing fees & what you receive.
I just looked over the website again LOOKING for any kind of illusion to the subscription but found nothing. The Full suite has no mention of any subscription, ongoing fees or otherwise. IMO this is TOTALLY DECEPTIVE and false advertising.
In the link you provided about plans (only after someone found you out- I can’t find taht link from any live page on your website) it says the software UPDATES are a premium service – but Oliver has said the software stops working after 6 months? Clear discrepancy!!
MY ADVICE IS TO AVOID!!!
I have also lost trust of Maczot for allowing this to be advertised without clear indication it is a subscription service.

@ Oliver and PLOTH:
link to the info on company whereabouts:
http://www.link-assistant.com/press/about.html
(can be reached any time through the link in the footer on any of our website’s pages). The page has been created a long time ago.
I already provided a link to the Live! Plans page clearly explaining the charges, noone’s making this secret:
http://www.link-assistant.com/rank-tracker/live-plan.html
It is linked to from other pages on our site, and it is indexed by Google and is ranking for our products names. So I don’t see why you should think we’re hiding the info.
Link to the pricing and order page saying about the subscription:
http://www.link-assistant.com/buy.html#first
or
http://www.link-assistant.com/rank-tracker/buy.html#first
all order pages contain that.
I haven’t seen a _good_ SEO software that would be updated to stay in line with search engines algos and wouldn’t ask you to pay for that. Currently our algo updates plans are the cheapest in the industry, so it is only a matter of what you want – good software that needs to be “fed” to stay good, or a tool that will stop working in a few weeks with no way back, immediately after Google slightly changes its SERPs. In the most optimistic case you’ll be waiting for weeks before a “free-update” tool gets updated. There’s a huge lot of work behind any SEO software that you just never see and that cannot be left unpaid. And this is stated clearly on our webpages.
November 6th, 2009 at 10:27 am
I had the same disappointment as Oliver having bought link assistant products through macZOT only to notice that it forced me into a subscription 6 months later without which the software would no longer even start.
Link assistant support claimed that live plans were explained on their company website, which is true. However, I never visited their website to purchase as I bought through macZOT.
This year’s macZOT product description once again fails to mention about live plans and the products built-in expiry. These comments are well deserved!!!
As for the transparency of company whereabouts, I again agree with Oliver:
a) The link from your footer page does not go directly to your imprint nor is it appropriately named (‘press’)
b) mentioning only the city of “company headquarters” and the name of its CEO is a very incomplete imprint by Western standards.
Being located in Belarus, you may not be required to be transparent. I know nothing about Belarus, but I do believe that you sell mostly to Western countries where transparency is not optional.
You should raise your standards or accept the impression you give to your Western customers is a fishy one.
Also, Mr. Link Assistant developer should use his full name and position when posting in public for his company, especially when the spotlight is on hiding things already.
And: there is indeed a good SEO software which has been updated for free for over a year now and that is Market Samurai.
The problem however isn’t asking for money, it’s hiding subscription costs on macZOT and an incomplete and hard-to-find company imprint.
November 9th, 2009 at 2:09 am
Frank, I appreciate your understanding of the problem:
“The problem however isn’t asking for money, it’s hiding subscription costs on macZOT and an incomplete and hard-to-find company imprint.”
Since it’s causing so much inconvenience we’ll make sure to add info on Live! Plans to our MacZOT pages.
Still, talking about identities of all kinds – I am starting to doubt which is more important to the user: the quality of software or the identity of the developer. Anyone can go to our forums, write to our support, ask any of our users if there’s been a problem getting help (free!) from us or getting a refund. I am sorry that you know nothing about our country of residence but does it necessarily mean that are going to be cheated? One of the things Link-Assistant.Com is known and appreciated for is keeping closely in touch with our users and answering questions and solving any problems withing the shortest time possible.
BTW until recently there have been only one well-known US-made SEO tool. Well that one always stopped working after Google changed its algos. XD It didn’t ask you to pay for updates. It just didn’t update. But you could find company address anywhere on the web. So which is the right side of the western standards?
Those who have been doing SEO and any kind of marketing for quite a time know that 99% of companies are first working to get more clients and prospects, and only later start working to get real profits. The software you mentioned is good and _looks_ good (we’ve played with this software and found it very decent), but like many our users said it lacks many of the professional features of Rank Tracker. Plus they’re pretty young and we’ll see how they will handle the issue with expensive updates later. If you are fine with less functionality in Market Samurai no one is forcing you to use Rank Tracker and other tools from Link-Assistant.Com
And once again, thanks for a sober-minded wording of the problem :)
