Their website says SEO Powersuite is $250 not $400.

If you hit the Order button on our website you will see that it’s only a time-limited discount to order for $249. Still the normal price for the four-pack is $399. Anyway, the MacZOT price is only $149, and we’ve never made it cheaper

From looking at the website http://www.link-assistant.com/live-plan-calculator.html the 6 month plan price is “The 6 months subscription will cost you less than 40% of the product’s license cost at the time of purchasing the Live! Plan subscription.”
So my question is “Is the less than 40% derived from the $400, $250, or $150?”
Will the software be effectively broken if the 6 month maintenance fee isn’t paid? Will the product continue to provide valid results if the maintenance fee isn’t paid?

Currently it is being derived from the $249 price for the Professional version. I don’t think the price for Live! Plans is likely to grow (at least it has never grown since 2005, rather we’ve reduced the prices to make them the lowest in the SEO software industry).
Answering your other question:
if after the 6 months of free Live! Plans the subscription isn’t prolonged, the software will not be gathering new results (without the algo updates this will be simply impossible or at least risky). All older data will be available.

$200 is for two years if paid in advance. But it requires a significant maintenance fee no matter what. Your product may be worth it or it may not. I have no idea. I’ve been waiting for this bundle for quite a while. But to me, a six month trial for $150 for a product that effectively dies if the maintenance fee isn’t paid isn’t worth it.
