Boy, this is a crowded market space for this kind of app. Seems slick enough and the Zot price is closer to reasonable. What I really want is a way to interface with my iPhoto library and, in batch fashion, down-rez the photos I’ll never print, but don’t want to just delete — say, all my one-star photos, or a particular album. Anyone know of such a solution? I guess there’s probably a way to Applescript it.

Parker - I think you’re right. While I don’t have access to my Mac here, Applescript is almost certainly the way to go.

Well, I’ve been using the well-received ImageWell application that suits my needs. This app’s interface looks quite slick, and it may well be worth the investment had I not spent my money on something else. I’d love to see a web site that specifically takes apps with similar functionality and analyzes and reviews them head-to-head.

Not knocking the program or anything; it’s just not something I need right now. However what immediately jumped out at me about the presentation is the screenshot of the program interface shows that it’s “(unregistered)” which just seems to be an odd thing to use. They made the program. Surely they could have registered it before taking a screenshot…

First, the Zot page implies a requirement for a 1 GHz Intel processor. The company’s own page does not specify a requirement for an Intel processor.

Second, the one feature this seems to have, that other similar packages do not (ImageWell) is the ability to rotate pictures degree by degree (rather than in 90 degree increments). The reason, I think, this matters is when you scan something and it isn’t quite lined up and you want to align it. In the Windows world, I had a package that did this easily (Paperport) and have not seen anything comparable for Macs.
