BatchPhotoâ„¢ is a powerful photo manipulation program for Mac and PC that makes it easy to convert, resize, watermark, annotate, touch-up, apply effects, and rename hundreds of photos in a single operation. Instead of enhancing and adjusting pictures individually, BatchPhoto lets you select a group of images, define a series of edits, and apply them in a single operation!

Feature Highlights (non-exhaustive):

  • Imprint the original Date/time as recorded by the digital camera in the EXIF metadata record or add multi-line Text Comments
  • Add Watermarks as either text or logos.
  • Change image size automatically since BatchPhoto can make the difference between portrait and landscape photos
  • Automatically rotate photos based on the information embedded by digital cameras with orientation sensors (most modern cameras)
  • RAW development, with support for almost all RAW image formats from all camera vendors, including: Canon, Sony, Nikon, Olympus, Fuji, Kodak, Pentax, and more.
  • Read and convert to 170+ image formats, including: JPEG, TIFF, PNG, PDF, GIF, BMP, TGA, PSD, JP2, and more.
  • Rename images with a powerful customization tool that allows the use of keywords and search & replace in filenames
  • Apply custom touch-ups like: Auto Contrast, Auto Gamma, Levels, Sharpen, Reduce Noise, and more.
  • Apply special effects like: Black & White, Sepia, Charcoal, Borders, Shadows, Polaroid frames, and more.

What our users are saying:

“I spent too much time editing photos one by one in the past! Someone suggested to me that there must be a better way. So I searched the web and found your product. I am very happy and this will save me a lot of time :)” – Kevork Yerevanian – Toronto, Canada

“I’d say it’s a perfect choice for situations like “OMG, I just came from this kids birthday party with, like 200 images in RAW format and now I need to get them real small in jpg and they need to be sharpened out and saturation needs to be a bit increased and it just has to be done in no time.” If it sounds familiar then BatchPhoto is for you.” – Silvia, Graphics-Illustrations.com

“It is a really fast way for me to watermark and resize images to web ready from the files I need for printing. The ability to just put them in a folder and do them all at once and have them in the same folder makes picture management easier. Once again it is the speed.” – Richard Oakland, UK – York

System Requirements:

    The UI is extremely ugly, it looks like a Windows app. I don’t feel like trying that at all.

    It’s really pricey for what it does ($60 is definitely too much, $30 could do, to my humble opinion).
    As for the watermarking function, I tend to use an app which does that and ONLY that (see iWatermark Pro for instance), SERIOUS watermarking an image is a very tricky business…

    Sorry guys, although I already own the YellowMug suite, I’d have tried your app, but it’s definitely very ugly and overpriced.

    I’ve been looking for a photo editor that is a bit more feature rich than iPhoto. Looking forward to trying BatchPhoto Pro

    Thank you fifo for the feedback.

    I am the project manager for BatchPhoto. BatchPhoto is in development for Windows since 2005 and we have just released version 1.0 for Mac with 90% of the features.

    Sure the app may look like a Windows app but we are willing to improve that and make it look more like a native Mac app in the future versions. So we appreciate any feedback either positive or negative that can help us improve the product.

    Best Regards,
    Cosmin Unguru

    I’ve been using Graphic Converter for years (decades?) to do the same kinds of batch image changes. I’ll take a look at the trial version but GC is a very solid product so I’m not necessarily looking for a replacement. Any ideas on how it compares with BatchPhoto?

    BTW, I’m not all that concerned about the appearance. For software like this functionality and speed are far more important.

    I wanted to try this. I was unable to download it from the maczot site. I downloaded it from the developers site, which has a few getting started tutorials. that peaked my interest. Unfortunately, I couldn’t open the app. It crashed consistently, and I had to uninstall it. (using system 10.7.4 on an 3.4 Ghz aintel core i7 imac with 12GB of memory)

  6. Cosmin Says:

    @finge -

    Unfortunately we are not able to replicate this. Can you please tell me if it crashes before opening the app, when adding images, or when selecting images before displaying in preview?

    The download button does not work at this time so please download the trial from our website: http://www.batchphoto.com/

    I used this software last year on Windows and it was solid and its batch processing was pretty fast. I agree with tstahmer that looks are secondary to performance – Graphic Converter performs well but looks pretty awful, for instance (or at least it did a couple of years ago when I last used it). From my limited time with the programs, I’d say Graphic Converter is probably more powerful for professionals but BatchPhoto is a bit more intuitive for home users – the wizard is a user-friendly way of working.

    BatchPhoto Pro looks like it will do the work of 4 other programs that I use individually and in a speedy manner. The maczot price makes it more tempting to purchase.

  9. victoria Says:

    Looks like a great app! Would there be more in depth editing for in text or framing? Thank you!

  10. Cosmin Says:

    @victoria-

    What do you mean by “in depth editing for in text”? Regarding framing: yes, new frame filters are on our to-do list.
