Referrring to Question 4 in the FAQ (copied below), if there isn’t a TRY option and the program turns out to be a stinker, what is MacZot’s policy?
Q4: If I don’t like the item I ordered, can I return it?
A: Because the products can be tried before using, there are no returns. Please click on the TRY button to demo the product. We realize that some people purchase the product without trying it first only later to find out that it wasn’t what they had thought it was. Please do not buy the product unless you really want it. We pay the developers the day after the offer ends and complete our financial transactions with them at that time.

Wow, this one is really a no brainer. I have several products from Macware and use them as needed with positive results. Just the fonts alone at this price are a steal (royalty free, commercial use license) !

We had big troubles with MacWare, sale old software, outdated versions, unable to get any update or trial version, etc…. Just a nightmare…
Maybe the new version will come out soon, so they try to sale a maximum of this version, like they did with MacFlux3.
We are very sad to see a Mac developer company working like this.
Also almost products from MacWare are not their development, Logo Design Studio Pro is from summitsoftcorp.com.
Last thing, this software has only 1 star at MacUpdate and 1-2 star on the AppStore, maybe good for beginner, but not for designer (we did test it 6 month ago).

Sorry – no trial = no buy
Especially if its MacWare – just my experience from past purchases.

!!DANGER Will Robinson, DANGER!! This is the same people as MacKeeper which has at best a dubious reputaion. It took me weeks to get MacKeeper to completely die. They imbed a bunch of stuff under the hood that you may not be aware of. I suspect it is for marketing but it is at minimum a security hazard. I don’t know for sure if this is going to do the same thing but watch your back!

Additionally, there appear to be multiple versions (4.0 is the latest here) of the software on Summitsoft’s direct site and no where can I come up with a $299 package combo price. Macware, same scenario – can’t see where they come up with $299 value when a direct buy of all Logo Studio products from their site appears to add up to ~$150 (Version 2.0).
Confusing at best, dubious at worst. Love the idea, but think this is a pass as well.
June 26th, 2012 at 6:36 am
It does add up to $299
LogoDesign Studio Pro 2 $59.99
Big Concept 1 – $29.99
Alphabet Art 1 – $29.99
Human Nature 1 – $29.99
FontPack Pro – $150.00
= $299.96
If you only get one good logo out of it for $20 that’s got to be good. That’s only £13 in UK money.

What version is the one being offered here?
June 26th, 2012 at 7:42 am
This is Logo Design Studio Pro 2.0.008, not Logo Design Studio 4.0 (which is a Windows product that is not vector based). The value is correct ($299.96).
Referring to MacKeeper: this is an application Macware licensed from ZeoBIT, which is a great product but has a bad rep for its ubiquitous marketing on the Internet.
We are not about to release a new version of these applications and, even if we were planning on doing this, this deal is still a great opportunity to save some serious money for everything that you will receive for only $20.

Is this app Mountain Lion compatible? Really do wish a means whereby I could at least run the app it to determine if there are any glitches with it on my system setup.
June 26th, 2012 at 11:16 am
My mistake on missing the Font pack addon.
However, beyond the operating systems they run on – can anyone comment on what are the key differences between Logo Design Studio Pro 2.0.008 selling for $59.99 on the Macware, Inc. site and Logo Design Studio Pro – Vector Addition sold on the Summitsoft Corp site also for $59.99? Are they the same exact product or any advantages/disadvantages one vs other?
Thanks.

Also, MacWorld reviewed this on May 17, 2011 and in their review they reference Logo Design Studio Pro 2.1 – so is the deal today not for the latest version?
Thanks.

So the Zot has to be easier to download than how it’s set up now.. too much going back and forth in email and in here.. I would buy a lot more but again.. annoying.
June 26th, 2012 at 11:39 pm
@ nerdnase – I’ve asked Jason at Macware about this. One of us will post the response here. We’ll see if we can do a 3 day return policy, as a trial period, at least.
Thanks!

tomhollet: these are 2 completely different products (aside from the basic premise of being graphic design applications with templates and objects).
Not sure why Macworld reviewed it as version 2.1; the most recent version is 2.0.008.
Unfortunately, since this is a huge value with fonts and other items you can use without our logo design software, we cannot offer refunds.
The fonts are absolutely Mountain Lion compatible; Logo Design Studio Pro has been tested on our developer previews of Mountain Lion and worked fine, but until the final release we will not be 100% sure it runs perfectly. We will release a free update to get it to work if necessary.

Ok, bought it despite refund policy–fingers crossed, but how can you go wrong at that price? ☺
