Price working fine via MacZot but not via App Store. Will app store reflection lowered price soon?

Mac App Store pricing is now working ($2.99)!

Is there any difference in functionality between the app in the AppStore or not?

I’ll post my comments to the developer site but I’ll start at ZOT!

First I wonder about the history and development of “Speedy” as CNET shows the previous version was 3.0.0.95 and updated Oct-2008 (developed by Altomac). So has this been ignored for over 3.5 years.

Second there is no support listed at Apimac.com. A sales page yes, but their support section has nothing but a now discontinued and unrelated “Speed Dial”. Okay, perhaps no one has had any questions / problems yet.

Third – no reviews of 4.x at the Mac App store even after 15 days of release.

    Now two problems:
1 – why only TEXT clippings? I do lots of small graphics and supporting only text clippings is a negative, IMHO.
2 – I added my recipe library and 1Password library to the “Files” (in Preferences but called Documents in the menu). but these move themselves to the Folders section. Yes, I understand these “Files” are packages but they should be treated like files / documents in this case.

I had hoped Speedy might be a replacement for a certain Haxie that is missing in action since Lion and for iClipboard which really is wonderful for my clipping needs. Perhaps fixing the problems I listed would bring this closer.

I remember something very similar to the floating strip speedbar in my OS9 setup, but can’t recall where it originated.

  6. rockroll Says:

    Oh – another “problem”
When I added Files / Documents to my favorites I do NOT want them grouped by applications. I want to arrange them in alphabetical order so I don’t have to think about what application there are created in. Please make it so I can disable the grouping of files into Application Names. Ugh.

Thank you for the comments and advices. We are reading them carefully. The app is an evolution of the old app released by Altomac which is going to be dismitted. All previous users can use this new release for free. We are creating a specific support page in our site. I’m sorry for the price problem occured at the start. The MAS and the nonMAS version has the same funcionalities.

I had high hopes in connection with this app. I bought it in Mac App Store due to information found at MacZOT. Unfortunately, hard do say but the app is highly buggy, constantly (I means always, without any exception) crashes while trying to run a linked website or a favorite file of mine, or while trying to restart it. NONE of the functionalities does not work for me, perhaps it might be due to a local version of Mac OS? I reported the issue the developer; I gave full information about who asked – great responsiveness from the developer. But the application crashes as it did before.
