| Drag it, drop it, convert it! Create high quality files to rule them all. Create one file that will play on any iOS, iPod or AppleTV Device. After all, iTunes provides one file that plays on all the devices, your files can be the same way.
*Because of Mac App Store restrictions, DVD ripping is not allowed on the Mac App Store version. When you buy this version from macZOT, you’ll get DVD ripping capability. The available demo version (on the TRY button above) will only allow one file in the queue at a time while the full version will convert as many files as you put in the queue. DropITConverter has been tested on the following common formats: WMV, FLV, MKV, MOV, MP4, AVI, M4V. Other formats may be supported. You can always input a file into the program and see if it will convert. Be sure the “Copy files to iTunes Media Folder when adding to library” checkbox is checked in iTunes preferences to ensure files are properly added to iTunes. Also check out some complementary Automator workflows to go along with DropITConverter. Want a deal on the MAS version? Get DropITConverter (without DVD ripping capability) from the App Store here…

Does Dropit rip encrypted DVDs? What can this app do that HandBreak cannot?

Yes it will rip encrypted DVD’s. What makes this different than Handbrake is its ease of use. Drop a file and it just begins converting that file suitable for syncing to your iOS devices and AppleTV.

Looks like a great software, does it handle DIVX encoded AVI files?

Save your money – it doesn’t work. I’ve tried to rip several dvds and have yet to realize anything.
