Caboodle Everyone comes across information that they want to refer to later. Maybe gifts you’ve received or sent, product serial numbers, recipes, directions to someone’s house, a photo of your pet, or anything else. Dejal Caboodle is a tool to help store and organize such varied bits of information. Structured and Free-form, Together At Last Some kinds of information are best stored in an organized structure, like a phone book. You want a label and a short value, and don’t care about text formatting and such: you just want the information. On the other hand, sometimes you’d like to write a paragraph or two about something, or include pictures, web links, lists, tables, PDFs, and more. Why compromise? Caboodle gives you both, with no learning curve! Your Bag of Tricks Caboodle provides a single place to store, organize, and find those little pieces of information that you might have previously stored in Stickies or obscurely-named text files strewn over your desktop. |

Hi everyone. I’m the author of Caboodle. Let me know if you have any questions.

I have had this for a couple years. When I bought it, I already owned similar software, but I was attracted to the ability to encrypt data, a feature the other applications did not have. I also like that you can add icons to the tool bar for frequently used functions, like lists, tables, and justification. This is also a feature the other applications do not have.

I have had and used Caboodle for several years – using it to replace Stickies scattered all around my desktop. I find it to be a very useful way to save and organize very many lists and bits of information I want to keep handy and not loose.

I have a couple of questions.
I have Yojimbo the newest version, how is Caboodle different?
Can I use both products together productively or are they two competing products.
Also does it work with Tags or any other tagging products

Hi Chuck,
Caboodle and Yojimbo are similar apps. You could perhaps use both, though probably only need one. Yojimbo is a very nice app, and I encourage people to use it if they need advanced features. But if you want a simple snippet keeper, Caboodle might be a good option.
Caboodle has flexible custom fields, which you can use for tags, keywords, or other values. The values can be found via the search field.
