Developer Interview:
1 What’s the most unique, useful feature of your product?
I would say the visual budgeting, that allows users to not only set budgets, but stick to them by making it more fun and graphical.

2 Why did you create this app? or What need were you trying to satisfy?
I created this application because I was sick of there being a void between expense management applications and budgeting applications. I wanted a simple application that combined the two and added extra features that other apps were missing too, such as internet banking.

3 What is most interesting to you about developing SW for the Mac platform.
Developing for the Mac allows you to express yourself, it allows you to create something that not only looks good but functions well. I’ve not been able to do this on any other platform.

4 What features should a prospective buyer look into during a trial of your product?
I would recommend checking out the Budgeting and Internet Banking functions of the product. Make sure that you like the way things are done and that it fits with the way that you like things organized.

5 What are some interesting experiences you’ve had creating new versions of your software when OS is upgraded?
In the latest major release, when Leopard came out, it was really great to start incorporating really slick animation into the application when performing various tasks, this just wouldn’t have been possible without Leopard.

6 What’s your favorite Mac app out there from another developer? Why?
Probably, Panic’s Coda, because it’s so easy to use, and they’ve managed to pack so many amazing features into such a clean user interface.

7 What features would you like to add to your product that at this time seem improbable/impossible?
Everything is possible, the impossible just takes longer. But seriously, I’d really like to eventually get a web based sync-able version of the app going, so you can manage your expenses on the fly.

8 What should I ask that I’m forgetting?
“Do we make other software?” would be a good one, and the answer is yes we make a few applications for Mac and iPhone you can check them out over at The Dream Apps.
