I've bought several apps for great reduced prices (yes, this one included!), but above all nothing compares with such a feeling you got when you look to all of them and realize that one day you had supported the efforts of a great developer who is committed in rule the software market by what it *should* be. I really appreciate the way Koingo Software faces the wave. Your Utility Package rocks. Koingo rules. Thanks MacZot!

This is really a nice ZOT! I have a few Koingo apps already which I find both useful and stable. IMO, Koingo Software is a top notch developer.

Being one who is well-versed in system maintenance and troubleshooting, my reaction was "Wow!" when I first obtained and launched MacPilot and saw the myriad of features that were included.

@mcoad
I'm not denying that it's an amazing discount. I'm not griping about the price, either. I just think that maczot needs to be clearer. If this is the utility package that we're buying, which it is, then A. they need to say so, and B. it's $80, not $220. I'm not trying to bring the value of the bundle down, and I realize that all of the apps together would cost $220, but if we're buying the utility package, then we're buying an $80 package. Just for the sake of clarity.

I don’t think Koingo could have been much clearer than what they say above, which is that, yes, this is the complete Utility Package as sold on their site and as such must include lifetime free upgrades and free future products, as this is the product description there. As for the pricing, it’s pretty amazing that folks actually complain because the base price quoted here refers to the the apps bought separately rather than the Utility Package price. So what! That’s a discount package too, so what you’re getting here is a massive discount on a massive discount - what is there possibly to gripe about? This deal is just plain remarkable from wherever you’re standing. Personally, I have most of the apps and they‘re superb, but will buy anyway for the others and the bonuses, and to support such efforts.

As to Koingo and its support, I personally find their ticket support system frustrating. Feature suggestions and the like tend to lie around without a response before abruptly being closed. This is a bit affronting, but their troubleshooting support has always been good, at least before this system was introduced. In general this is a very serious and responsive company, one of the stars in the firmament.

The only thing left to consider before buying is if this is the full Utility Package with the free updates and FREE copies of all future Koingo apps. Koingo apps are great, but I want to make sure I'm getting what I thought I was getting. I got MacPilot as part of the free app a day that was done several years ago. It stopped working and I was forced to upgrade. I don't have a problem of purchasing, but I want it spelled out as to what I REALLY get.

Also, MacZot, we love this deal, but while purchasing the apps separately would be more than $220, this is the utility package. The utility package costs $80. It's still a great deal, but you should make clear in the future whether we're purchasing a specific package. BTW, I already bought. Koingo is good on support and their software is great.

We have an online support system, with ticket IDs for each support incident. If your issue was not resolved, please re-open the ticket and a support agent would be more than happy to help you.

Buyer beware. I got MacPilot in another package deal some time ago, but it stopped functioning. Contacting the author resulted in zero responses. The license couldn't be used with the new version either. So this might look like a cheap deal (although $40 isn't really cheap), you might run into trouble when you need to upgrade or switch machines. Plus, for most of the system maintenance tasks you can find free alternatives.

I'm pausing a bit because I've already bought the apps I really wanted. Still, it's most likely worth it just for things to come in the future.

That said, Koingo has been really great about adding requested features. You can even track your suggestions and bug reports in their issue tracking system and see if/when they get added.

They really are a company that listens to users.
