For me too! Just copy and paste my yep licence to Leap and it works !
It’s magic !
Without this blog I don’t be aware about this trick ! No mention of it nowhere in the Ironicsoftware site.

Bought Yep last June and the email said the update to 2.0 would be free. I guess Leap *is* Yep 2.0. My Yep license works just fine in Leap.

Barring a last minute change of mind which isn’t likely I’m going to pass on Leap. The interface just doesn’t work for me. I still like Yep and really hope that Yep can support more filetypes than just pdfs in a future version.

Thanks for clarfying. I did buy in December 07. But I’m still not getting a discount with my YepOwnerRefxxxxxxxx code when I click Buy Now. It’s coming up at full price.

Is that discount (when it’s working) any deeper than the MacZot?

I’ll keep following to hear back, but if I miss out, I miss out… :(

Leap was free to those who bought Yep PRIOR to Leap’s release. So the people who are finding the Leap license in their Yep are just checking it for the first time, after having purchased Yep before Oct 07. For people who purchase Yep today (or anytime after Oct 07) Leap is discounted but not free. (AFAIU)

I have Path Finder but decided to take the plunge and pick up Leap. I can’t see using Leap when I need to navigate my folder hierarchy so for that I’ll still use Path Finder. But If nothing else, it’s a nice tagging solution and it does provide a better search interface. At worst I’ve contributed to a good developer.

Was seriously considering LEAP, and still am, but after seeing comments, tried Path Finder. I’m really liking Path Finder (and a clean desktop!). Trying to figure out what I’m going to do, as buying both seems a bit excessive….

as for the user who is asking about YEP and LEAP, iwould say if u can afford both, get both, as YEP does good job for scanning docs.

But Leap is all you need for organizing and sorting your files, since Leap does what Yep does in terms of PDF and documents.

At 29.95 leap is a great deal for what it does. I also like yep but now use it only for scanning docs mainly.
