  1. Neil MacLean Says:

    Are they still developing this?
I bought it on Maczot exactly one year ago when Vertical Moon told me there was going to be a new version/free upgrade “over the next few weeks”.

It is still the same version one year later.

Looks like an interesting little program, but I can only animate text for $30. How much to be able to create full flash files, with either text, pics, videos, sound and shapes? Of course the previous comment by Neil doesn’t make me feel real good about support. Of course I was only thinking about using this to make flash files to hide email addresses on our websites, which it sounds like this would work fine for that purpose. Are there any other Mac friendly flash animation software out there to compare this to?

  3. Tommy Says:

Yeah, just text doesn’t really do it for me.

Plus, Flash is a pox upon the Internet. But I would have considered a more powerful program just to make stuff for my Chumby.

  4. Britonius Says:

I just realized that I can create a text with email hyperlink within Keynote and export it to Flash. I just have to see if I can parse down the large image it creates as I really only need one as big as the text. If this will work then it is probably all I will need. Otherwise I will need something like Text-Osterone.

Is Vertical Moon watching MacZot today? Is there a new version suppose to be coming in regard to Neil’s comment? Does this work with Leopard? Do you have another product that does more than just one flash function as that is all I have seen on your website so far? Something similar to SwishMax ( on Windows but for OS X as I might be interested in that as well.

  5. Jon Says:

Looks pretty good to me. I make text based flash animations for a living. I can make them look far more appealing with this at a fraction of the cost. I’ll get my money back on buying this the first time I use it.

Anyone know if it’s Leopard compatible, thinking of upgrading soon.

  6. Mark Says:

This looks like an interesting product, particularly if used in combination with some of the other products on their site (SWF&Slide, etc). However, I agree with some of the earlier comments that we need to hear back from Vertical Moon as to:
    - Leopard Compatibility
    - Upgrade/update schedule and if the licenses purchased here qualify for automatic upgrade/update
    - Some sense that this product has a future

  7. Josh of Pixelton Says:

I won’t be buying due to the complete lack of response the developer has here on the questions.

It isn’t like they are obligated to answer these thoughts but it goes a long way in showing developer support and plain old good will.

  8. Mark g Says:

    Buyer Beware

I bought this in a previous ‘Zot and never got it to work.
Recently I had time to try again and got a crash when applying the effects. I have contacted the Dev, but still no reply.

Of course, your mileage may vary

Keynote->Inspector->Document->Slide Size->Custom Slide Size. I’ve been working with it for Flash headers in Rapidweaver sites and it works great. Just put a transition between slides and the text will “move”.

I don’t like the fact that I don’t see it’s a UB version, Keynote ’08 will work for now for Flash text.

  10. Britonius Says:

Thanks Harringg, that is very helpful. I passed on this product as well since the Dev did not respond and Neil said it was supposed to be updated a year ago. Keynote looks like it will do what I need it to do.
