This is really cool. Music and cocktails belong together, anyway. ;)
    Seriously, great idea!
I tried the demo, I wished it wasn’t so limited. OTOH, it still does give an impression of what to to expect.

I am not so sure about the pickup lines and drinking games – makes it look a bit too silly. But I guess I am not the average consumer, anyway. :)

Four bucks is a price more than fair if I consider what time it would take to add this to my iPod, even if I’d only use a fraction.

    All in all cool ZOT!

it erases anything you have in your Notes folder, which meant all i had in there from Life2Go and personal notes was deleted. fortunately i had the sense to back the Notes folder up. that’s a pretty rotten installation system.

otherwise a decent idea and fair execution, but i think i’d rather have a drink collection for my PDA. it would mean more for me to be able to perform a search.

  4. Sean Helmes Says:

Developer’s Note: All iPod’s are limited to storing 1000 notes in the iPod’s notes folder. Party Pro for iPod is made up of approximately 950 notes. There is so much content in Party Pro that it does take up the better part of your iPod’s notes folder. The installer asks to wipe your iPod’s notes folder clean so that Party Pro can function properly. If you have more than 1000 notes in the iPod’s notes folder, some content won’t be readable from your iPod’s display.

Please let me know if anyone has any questions. Thank you all for your support!

You’ll note that the name of this site is MacZOT. Note the “Mac” part of that name.

This isn’t really a good place to get Windows software, luckily for you the Party Pro is cross-platform.

When you get your registration info, just contact the developer and explain the situation, and they’ll likely send you the right installer for your PC. (please note I’m just presuming here, I’m not speaking for the dev).

Glad you found us — there are a ton of other good deals waiting for you when you switch to the Mac (not MAC, it’s not an acronym).

  10. Sean Helmes Says:

Party Pro for iPod is Mac and PC compatible. There is a Mac and a Windows version of the software. If anyone would like the Windows version for the MacZOT price then just let us know that after receiving the registration information and we will send you the PC version as well. I love the concept of maczot, but, as an avid researcher of mac software, I found this really funny, Sean. Seems you used bogus reviews to inflate your score on macupdate. Come on, what gives? Can you explain.

    IE:

    Type: Comment
    Author: MU ADMIN

If it is so great, then why do you have to post bogus reviews for it, developer?

I’ve had to delete three bogus reviews, all from your IP address (all posts have an associated IP address that is logged here), since this software was posted.

  12. Sean Helmes Says:

    Hi Pete,

As a matter of fact I can explain. The issue was very simple. MacUpdate.com uses a flawed system for tracking IP addresses. While I was attending college in Boston some years back, I had asked other students in my dormitory to write what they thought of my products on MacUpdate. I even posted fliers throughout the building. As a result, several students did in fact post positive reviews of my software on MacUpdate which was great. The issue was that my entire dorm building shared an IP address. Therefore each student that posted a review for my product had the same IP address since we all lived in the same building. I was very taken back when MacUpdate accused me of “bogus reviews” of my own products. There are two sides to every story and that is mine. I have contacted MacUpdate several times and they have failed to respond. I hope that helps answer your question of “What gives? Can you explain”.

  13. Sean Helmes Says:

    Another note to Pete,

Shareware products such as mine prove themselves. The programs are free for you to try it and if you like it, you can buy it. I would be out of business if nobody liked my shareware products. Majority rules and I let the majority speak for themselves. Anyone can review my product on MacUpdate or Versiontracker. Anyone can comment on this MacZOT blog. If you read the majority of user reviews posted online it seems that most people like my shareware products. “Shareware products do in fact prove themselves”.

  14. Pete Swigart Says:

    Thanks for the explination.

  15. Sean Helmes Says:

You’re welcome Pete. Have a Happy New Years!
