The BlogZOT participants seem to be taking some time and actually trying HoudahSpot.
These trials are helping people to actually understand the benefits of the updated (to 1.2) HoudahSpot – even if they don’t know how to pronounce it. – How-Dah-Spot
If you’re following the MacZOT RSS, you might consider checking it out and following the road to FREE on the BlogZOT list page BlogZOT List page

Is it one posting per person? I have three blogs (personal, upper school, lower school). Would it be bad of me to put the post in each to help shave off another 10 cents (in addition to the five for “Knock Knock”)?

@Danny,
Do you mean something like WordPress MU?
http://mu.wordpress.org/
Also, it would just be easier to sign up at WordPress.com.
June 17th, 2006 at 8:36 am
Cameron,
Sort of. I will not be using WordPress MU. What I will be doing, is setting up a WordPress account on a subdomain for free (ex: john.mac-headz.com). Or if you want your own domain, all you will have to pay is $30-$40 (I am trying to keep it as low as I can) for domain and setup fee.
You can get your own WP at wordpress.com, however if you read their ad about it (www.wordpress.org), they say,
“set it up on a web host for the most flexibility ”
And that is what I will be giving you.
I am also thinking of including email set ups for the free accounts, and the paid automatically get emails.
At the moment, I am setting it up, and am waiting to hear get feedback from others. I really want to set something up for everyone to enjoy.
If you are interested, I posted a thread on the forum where members can post there thoughts, ideas, and questions about this:

PS: This is still under construction, so your feedback on the forum will help out a lot!

Cameron,
I posted your question on the forum for others to read. If you or anyone else have any questions, please post them on the forum, and not here.

Warning: By doing the BlogZOT!, the submission form tries to sign you up for a e-mail newsletter, but does ask you to verify that you want to.
June 17th, 2006 at 11:41 am
The submission form does not try to sign you up for any e-mail newsletter.
ZicklePop – where did you get this?
ZOT!
June 17th, 2006 at 11:45 am
Yea, it mailed me something about subscribing to a newslietter…do we have to?
June 17th, 2006 at 11:53 am
Very weak ZicklePop, very weak. Wow!
June 17th, 2006 at 1:20 pm
I entered by details into the ‘Get HoudahSpot’ form and received an email from announce.houdahspot@houdah.com with the following…
“We have just received a request to subscribe [my email address] to
our announcement list (announce.houdahspot@houdah.com). ”
…and asking me to verify my subscription to this list. Do I need to subscribe in order to receive HoudahSpot?
June 17th, 2006 at 2:29 pm
I’m getting the same issue above. I sign up for the free registration, and all I recieve is a newsletter verification email. Where’s my registration?
June 17th, 2006 at 3:08 pm
Regarding announcement list from HoudahSpot.
1. The results of this form submission have changed since we set it up. Prior to this email going out, a submission was generating a license file and actually sending it through.
We think this might have been way too heavy a load for their server to handle 500 per hour.
Our guess, and we haven’t heard it from Houdah Folks yet, is that they’re going to try to handle it in a batch mode.
Once we know more one way or the other, we’ll post it.
ZOT!

Who really cares if you have to sign up for a maillist? They may be doing it to help ease the registration process and it is the easiest way for everyone to submit their names and emails.
After all, would you want to create 5000 unique registrations?
Just remove yourself from the maillist afterwards.
Don’t forget, you are getting the software for free.
June 18th, 2006 at 1:12 am
I entered my information yesterday, when the number was something like 1154, and I haven’t received a license nor anything about a mailing list. Should I resubmit and hope for the mailing list thing?
June 18th, 2006 at 2:04 am
The mailing list is there to keep folks up-to-date about the product… what’s wrong with that? You’re not recquired to subscribe… and if you don’t like the newsletter you unsubscribe at any time. So, what’s the fuzz about?
June 18th, 2006 at 7:36 pm
I filled out the form, but I haven’t gotten a code yet. It’s been almost 24 hours. What’s up?
June 19th, 2006 at 7:19 am
I filled out the form which subscribed me to a newsletter/mailing list. Any word on getting the code?
June 19th, 2006 at 7:43 am
No code here either, only got the mailing list email so far.
June 19th, 2006 at 11:29 am
Oh…um…I sure hope I don’t need to sign up for the mailing list to get my HS registration, because I deleted it… Eep…
June 19th, 2006 at 12:13 pm
Wow, last I checked they weren’t able to give away all 5000 copies. I hope it’s because it ended on a weekend.
So… anyone get their reg for this yet?
June 19th, 2006 at 2:05 pm
Nope – no serial yet either… just the email list message as well.
June 19th, 2006 at 2:39 pm
well, I never received my free reg! did anyone else?
June 19th, 2006 at 3:04 pm
no code yet… guess they must be busy.
June 19th, 2006 at 4:54 pm
I guess they are just overwhelmed in getting these codes out… give them some time.
June 19th, 2006 at 5:46 pm
I got a message from Houdah that their main server had gotten shut down because of “suspicious” activity (e.g. so much traffic due to the promotion?
June 19th, 2006 at 7:40 pm
Hopefully they’re taking the time to also fix up the software while there at it… there are a few interface “problems” that keep this from being useful.
Such as the inability to drag to reorder. The reason reordering is useful (arguably necessary) is in getting all your modifiers correctly nested (ANDs NOTs and ORs).
On a more aesthetic note, the interface could use an overall slimming down. Top menu should have the industry standard options (‘Icons and Text’,'Icons’,'Text’ and the ‘use small icons’ checkbox). The rest of the dropdowns also seem a bit chunky.
Anyhow… first things first I guess… a reg would be nice. :)
June 20th, 2006 at 6:26 am
I haven’t received any code here as well.
June 20th, 2006 at 7:02 am
same here….
June 20th, 2006 at 7:47 am
I’m also waiting for my code. and waiting. and waiting. and
June 20th, 2006 at 9:00 am
I haven’t received mine either (but no word about a newsletter, on the other hand, though perhaps I opted-out when I posted), but I sent an email to the help desk, and I’ll post whatever they tell me.
June 20th, 2006 at 11:16 am
5000 codes would be a nightmare to generate so I sympathise, but MacZot should post an update on the codes.
June 20th, 2006 at 11:29 am
Dear Austin,
You should have received a license file from Houdah.
However, they discovered their host failed early in this process and they will be sending them all out again as a precaution.
Kind regards,
Brian Ball

Apparently, it’s all under control.

Anybody following this blog post and waiting for their HoudahSpot codes, here’s an update:
1. I just got a note from the developer and they’re working on damage control as their host “Dreamhost” seemed to fail very early in this process.
Note, if you’re going to get on MacZOT, make sure your host knows about it so they can help support you.
2. Pierre will be very thorough in making sure everybody who is eligible will get their license file. Thanks again for your patience.

Today pad printing has reached a technical advanced state and the range is quite diversified. Compared to the method described in the historical section not much has changed. The basic procedure has remained the same.
Since the late 1960′s an old printing method, which had been particularly well established in the watch-making industry, has been an unexpected boom. Pad printing was discovered for newer, broader applications and with the help of silicone pads and new machine constructions it truly blossomed. Pad printing machine manufacturers sprung up like mushrooms and satisfied the real market need for printing and decorating parts in a simple and inexpensive way. Pad printing allows new designing possibilities for engineers and designers as a result, the products are becoming more attractive and functional.
