AppZapper – The Uninstaller Apple Forgot !AppZapper is for people who want to confidently try new apps while knowing they can uninstall them easily. Drag one or more unwanted apps onto AppZapper and watch as it finds all the extra files, lets you preview them and delete them with a single click. A slick safety system remembers which apps you want to keep safe, and the log tracks all the files you’ve zapped. Put simply, AppZapper is the uninstaller Apple forgot. AppZapper is a very popular application right now. If you do a search on Google, you’ll see it’s linked everywhere. It’s localized in Japanese, Italian, French, Polish, Chinese, German and more. It’s simple, it’s sexy, and it’s FUN! You have to try this application.
Just try it and you’ll know why it’s been downloaded over 200,000 times “AppZapper is a great piece of software that is easier to use than I had expected. There are very few obvious weaknesses of the Mac OS X, but the clean uninstall has been one of them and the AppZapper has taken care of that.” “The graphical appearance of the application is so simple, its stunning. Everything has been kept to a minimum, therefore providing the user with a stress free, simple removal of applications.” … “A must have application for anyone who owns a Mac!” “As a Newbie this is a Must Have application.” … “In many ways AppZapper captures the Mac experience totally – you open AppZapper, you get a neat box that you drag the application you want to remove into, you press OK and woosh – it has gone! A quick check on Spotlight and no residual files are lurking around in the depths of your system. It really is that easy, and I cant recommend it enough.” “Not only does it help keep your system clean and save hard drive space, after using it today I have to admit theres a bit of fun when you zap an application. There is a satisfying flash and zap noise that prompted me to delete three or four unused apps just to hear it again.” “I would highly recommend this to someone that downloads and tries out a lot of freeware or shareware. Its ease of use only makes it more worth it.” “This is definitely a must have thumbs up app…” “This application is great for quickly removing a new program you just wanted to test. It almost always finds the associated preferences and support files, removing them is simple.” “Great app, stable, easy to use, and very friendly developers ;-)” “Of course, OS X should have this functionality built in, but until then this little app is a life-saver. If you can’t resist trying every intesting looking shareware app out there, then AppZapper is an essential.” “I like this app a lot!!! Fast, easy and stable. High recommended!” “Totaly worth it if you download and try apps off this site alot!” “I’ve been waiting for something like this for years. Excellent concept and interface, just the right amount of eye (and ear) candy and a reasonable shareware fee. I bough my license right after the first zap.”

April 24th, 2006 at 3:29 am
Of course it’s linked everywhere, it got the BlogZOT treatment :-)
April 24th, 2006 at 3:42 am
Its a great app, but how many times are you going to list this on Maczot? This marks the 3rd time. Geez…0 points for originality.
April 24th, 2006 at 3:47 am
What happened to typeset? coming soon?
April 24th, 2006 at 4:17 am
How many times is this going to be listed before it doesn’t come back? I’ve see this twice in a month… i would like to see NEW things that I can buy!
April 24th, 2006 at 4:35 am
Congratulations on your gigantic let down! How may more times are you going to offer this?
April 24th, 2006 at 5:09 am
again?
April 24th, 2006 at 6:28 am
How many times are we going to see AppZapper on Maczot? Its a great product, but listing it 3 times in 2 months is a bit much.
April 24th, 2006 at 6:55 am
So sick of seeing Appzapper. Boring!
April 24th, 2006 at 7:08 am
Geez, enough AppZapper already please. What is this, the 10th time it’s been offered up?
April 24th, 2006 at 7:10 am
Wait…uh…what happened to Typeset? That was up for a few minutes apparently…now it’s back to AppZapper. What gives?
April 24th, 2006 at 7:38 am
I’m all for repeating deals now and again but how about some of the other ones. I think this is the third appearance of AppZapper isn’t it?
April 24th, 2006 at 8:38 am
I purchased this a while ago at full price, it was worth every penny.
April 24th, 2006 at 9:06 am
Little Snitch would be great, as would Lux.
April 24th, 2006 at 9:16 am
Part of us wants to apologize for AppZapper being so popular. Today was going to be Typeset, but we weren’t quite prepared properly so we decided to wait on that.
Asking for suggestions from some of our users came up with – “Well, people always love AppZapper, let’s give them a deal.”
Keep sending in suggestions. When developers hear or read that you’d like to see their software here, they get interested.

As someone who’s only recently discovered AppZapper, I went in on today’s deal. How about offering apps like DragThing, Stattoo, Transmit, TypeIt4Me? I have many of these already, but I think others could certainly benefit from these killer apps at a discounted price.

ZOT: Whining and pointing out the fact that there is a serious lack of originality, honesty, and timeliness over there in MacZOT land are two different things. When clients come to me and tell me that they want orignality, or show disatisfaction, it becomes an immediate priority to change things so that those thoughts aren’t long-lived. If I were to call my clients “whiners” or tell them to send an email to iwhine@whatever.com anytime they had a complaint, I wouldn’t expect to retain many of them. The last time you had a “witty” post referring to us upset members as being “whiners”, I let it go. This time, I’m done. I’d rather pay full price for software rather than support a company/business that reverts to the misleading tactics used here.

I’m one of the guys who bought the EveryZot, and even though I have 3+ licenses for AppZapper already, I’m still thrilled with MacZot and the joy it brings me. When I get a license I don’t want, I give it away to a friend, and that makes their day.
I can understand a little disapointment for seeing the same thing up a few times, but I still apload MacZot and their efforts.

I, personally, like seeing AppZapper here again.
There will always be those who complain. I personally don’t understand the reasons for such.. If you don’t like it, don’t look at the site. Get a life.
April 24th, 2006 at 1:44 pm
Cron0.. I wonder if you’re aware that Cyberduck is free?
April 24th, 2006 at 2:00 pm
Stop the whining! I think I might be checking this app out.
Anyways, I just love your site (I am some what of a newbie). What about Path Finder? Just an idea…
Thanks!
April 24th, 2006 at 3:04 pm
I was glad to see it as well, since I didn’t get it before.
I’d love to see the “A Better Finder…” series with forever upgrades featured.

I was sad to see Appzapper again.

The funny thing is that the bigger shareware apps if they wanted to lower the price could do it themselves and reap the entire profit. MacZOT takes a percentage.. plus the bigger apps are probably selling just fine and don’t need to do a discount and thus aren’t real interested in doing it because of that. Some will play ball, others probably won’t.

Acquisition and Inquisitor PLEASE! I would buy in an instant
Also transmist and deskshade would be nice :)

I’m glad to see AppZapper again. I missed it for free last time, so I’m getting it this time. Thanks!
April 24th, 2006 at 8:17 pm
Hi all,
I had to laugh as I read through this article. YES, this is the 3rd time that this application was on MACZOT. YES, I purchased this application through MACZOT.but NO, I am not going to complain. Why not give newbies a chance to enjoy an application that we already had dibs on.
It would be great to see some of these applications (this one included) on here more often. I have some friends that would love to purchase AppZapper. Plus, this teases us Mac App fans. :)
April 24th, 2006 at 9:25 pm
Perhaps the Appzapper needs the Appzapper. Hehe…sorry I just couldn’t help myself. Get some other cool stuff. Like “On the Job” by Stunt Software!
April 24th, 2006 at 9:38 pm
How about DAVE from Thursby Software?
April 25th, 2006 at 12:02 am
They need an extra couple of hours to get ready? Something extra special? There is only ONE POSSIBLE EXPLANATION!!!
They are giving away free 17-inch MacBook Pros to everyone!!! YAY!!!
April 25th, 2006 at 12:27 am
Alright Dan, I’m all set for my MacBook Pro… I’m holding you accountable if it doesn’t pan out! :P

So if ZOT doesn’t give us one, Dan will? Sounds like a win win situation to me…
April 25th, 2006 at 1:44 am
My guess is SubEthaEdit – judging by the logo – which would be very cool.
April 25th, 2006 at 2:39 am
Good catch sarah, I never thought of that! hiding things in plain view….interesting one zot!
April 27th, 2006 at 1:41 am
